Joy Dare January 29, 30, 31--one month down!

29. a song heard, a soft word, where you saw light

  • "Hello World" by Lady Antebellum: "sometimes i forget what living's for/and i hear my life through my front door/i'll be there/oh, I'm home again"
  • "Thank you"--a gift from my small group girls.  It is so wonderful to see them grow up to be lovely, budding women of Faith, and exciting to be a witness to their lives.
  • hallway light: my parents are going out of town for the next two weeks, and I'm anxiously anticipating many nights of coming home to a dark house.  After I accidentally let this fear of darkness slip to my mom, she has been leaving the hallway light on for me everyday if she knows I'll be coming home late.  My mama loves me!
30. 3 old things seen new
  •  This is really trivial, but seeing my glass bowls and jars that I purchased randomly used so well and so much for the crazy kids in youth group...yay decorations!
  • The stories of the Judges of old...Gideon let me down terribly, now that I've had a fresh review on how he started well but finished badly; transversely, I used to be disgusted with Samson, but oh did he finish well!  And yet they are both in the annals of Faith...Good, but hard, lessons to learn for this "small potato" about faith, trusting in Him, glorifying Him.
  • Even more trivial: seeing old and new jewelry, trinkets, and clothing I have used in new ways, thanks to tips and ideas from Pinterest.  I'm vain enough to take pleasure in this, but doesn't the Father appreciate pretty things too?  :) Plus, this will significantly cut down on my spending habits.
31. a gift found on a paper, in a person, in a picture
  • On paper: a handwritten note from P3friend--it was proof that spending time with people for the KOG yields fruit in season
  • In a  person: hugs from my small group girls :)
  • In a picture: Cousinsister is engineer by day, artist by night.  I love love LOVE her art!  This one blew me away when I first saw it:
Far Side of the Sea
