"What the Bible Really Says about Sex"

I've been learning more about bible reading and interpretation (exegesis and hermeneutics). Which is why I was both appalled and amused by the following article:

"What the Bible Really Says About Sex" by Lisa Miller, Newsweek's religion editor.

Next year, I'm holding a workshop on THIS. Because...REALLY????

No fear, there are those who will tell a better, far more legitimate story:

A response from R. Albert Mohler, whom Miller quoted...

This is not just a question of hermeneutics (because Newsweek is the religious authority we all look to for proper Biblical interpretation), but also a question of righteousness. A person can take isolated pieces of the Bible and spin it however he/she wants to fit the lifestyle he/she chooses. But reading the Bible...all 66 books of it...reveals the high, holy standard that Yahweh possesses.

I'll be happy to hear your (very constructive and kind) thoughts: on interpretation, on sex, any of it. :)
