You put in me Beautiful Dreams

I wrote this the day I got hired...it's been a whole month now, and it still rings true!



What were the old things but mere shadows of joy
Former ambitions like filler static noise
Old hopes and visions of what life could be
All of them were too weak to be true dreams

So then I sought You and learned to honor You
To give you the heart of worship that You're due
You tore my olds dreams apart
And showed me the way to a brand new start

You put in me courage to see
New life spring up and bring new things to be
You put in me beautiful dreams
And You turn them into glorious reality

Who could have know that it would be like this
That joy and grace abound
And mercies are new everyday
I'd never imagine it could be like this
That life with you could be so wild and exciting and real
