On Shopping with My Mom
Mamacheng and I hit the mall today to go shopping for back-to-school/go-to-work clothes. Yes, I still shop for my mom.
Most of my teenage years, I thought my mama and I had similar fashion taste. Which meant I sometimes wore really "older" things to different places.
Now I'm older, and while mama and I have similar principles in picking out clothes (:a do not just settle for trends, aim for timeless, and b. always look for treasures in the clearance section), there were definitely a couple of times when my mom presented me with an article of clothing and I looked at her like she was out of her mind. O_O
She was a little befuddled, but I was a little grateful, because my blatant dislike for that dress with the huge red and pink florals made it clear that I had grown up, gotten my own fashion sense, and could make decisions like an adult.
But mostly I still listen to my mama (because she's the one paying) because she's my mama and she has good fashion sense. :)
